Drakkar Kilpatrick has been preaching for several years. He was licensed into the ministry on March 9, 2014, under the leadership of W.R. Brown at Mt. Calvary MBC. He was later ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in December of 2016. The following year, he was installed as the pastor of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Comer, Georgia, where he currently serves as Senior Pastor.

Pastor Kilpatrick is a native of Athens, GA. He attended Clarke Central High School, where he began in leadership as the “Back Bending” Drum Major for the Clarke Central Marching Band.  Interestingly, his photograph can be seen on the wall mural at the Athens location of Applebee’s Restaurant. He was the first Drum Major in Clarke Central history to take on the leadership role of Drum Major as a Freshman.

After graduation, he went on to attend Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. Pastor Kilpatrick is currently studying to obtain a BS degree in Religion: Christian Leadership, at Liberty University Online.

Pastor Kilpatrick is a God-fearing man who walks in the shadow of God and in the Light of Christ. Although he has achieved many accomplishments in his personal and professional life, as a pastor, he commits to doing more and more for the Lord. He agrees with the Apostle Paul when he says, “He has not yet apprehended,” for he desires to keep pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

He and his lovely wife, Ashley Kilpatrick, have been married since 2013. They are the proud parents of four wonderful children, Devon, Denver, Dawsyn, and Draelynn.
